We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Event Set Up and Equipment Manager to join our team. This position is roughly 80% manual labor and 20% office / computer work. As the Event Set Up and Equipment Manager, you will be responsible for actively overseeing warehouse operations, maintaining equipment inventory, managing the event set up team schedule, leading Event Set Up teams for set up and tearing down events (primarily on Fridays and Saturdays, the occasional Sunday, and sometimes out of town), hiring and training the Event Set Up Crew as needed, maintaining fleet vehicles, and ensuring seamless communication with employees, clients, and vendors.
This role requires strong sense of responsibility, excellent customer service, a sense of fulfillment in manual labor, and a knack for coming up with creative solutions (welcome to events!). We will make sure you have the training, resources, and support you need to be successful.
Responsibilities
- Maintain all equipment, inventory, and vehicles
- Keep warehouse and storage unit well organized
- Make sure all inventory is correctly prepped, loaded, and unloaded after each event
- Manage event set up staff, including scheduling, training, and providing guidance as needed
- Manage vehicles including cleaning, maintenance, and repairs
- Oversee and actively participate in event set up and tear-down
- Be available either in person or via phone to handle any issues or emergencies that may arise during events
- Collaborate with Client Coordinator and vendors on event design
- Communicate promptly, clearly, and kindly with staff, clients, and vendors
Qualifications
- Must be fulfilled by working with your hands and accomplishing labor-based tasks
- Previous experience in events and warehouse management preferred
- Must be 18+ years old
- Valid Idaho drivers license with a clean driving record
- Able to, willing to, and excited to do manual labor
- Must be comfortable driving cargo vans and box trucks
- Strong at leading a crew with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Very detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Available to work Tuesday-Saturday, some Sundays, with some early mornings and late nights, depending on that week's schedule
- Available to work out of town as needed, depending on that week's schedule - at a minimum, 10-20 out of town events annually (typically in Sun Valley and McCall)
- Responsible and punctual
Physical Requirements
Must possess strength, stamina, and mobility to perform physically demanding work, including, but not limited to:
- Frequent standing, bending, twisting, and moving up to 8+ hours
- Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 75 pounds, with assistance, when necessary
- Comfortable with ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps while carrying objects
Schedule
Full time, typically 9-4:30 Tuesday - Saturday (with the exception of days dedicated to set up and tear downs - those hours will depend on event times, but be prepared for some early mornings and late nights with a break in the afternoon). Your normal weekend will be Sunday-Monday as most events are on Fridays and Saturdays with the occasional week day / evening.
Often event days will be longer than 8 hours. Because of that, you will have the flexibility to adjust your other hours as needed. You will know your schedule several weeks in advance to give you time to prepare and organize your work week.

Pay and Benefits
This is a full-time position. Pay is $22-30/hr (DOE), paid monthly, and after an introductory period also includes PTO, paid holidays, a flexible work schedule, the option to opt into a company retirement program, and the possibility of additional benefits in the future.
