Wedding Venue Transformation - Sound Wave Events - DJ, Lighting, Photo Booth

When long time family friends called with the news that their oldest daughter was getting married, we were overjoyed. Then to hear that they wanted us to transform their church gym for the reception doubled the excitement! Anne, the Mother of the Bride wanted to take the drab gym space and turn it into something amazing.  We were definitely up to the challenge! And the best part of all of this?  Liz, the Bride, knew we were DJing but the rest of the transformation was a total surprise! We went to work planning the perfect experience for Hardy & Liz.

If you have ever been in an LDS church gym you know it is a great, open space but the atmosphere isn't quite wedding ready.  We came up with a solution to utilize the space optimally and create a vibe and energy that would feel special and unique. 

This transformation began with covering the hardwood flooring with sheet vinyl. Yes, that's a thing! And it is a good thing.  This may have been the biggest impact of all - and something none of their guests had ever seen done at past events. Talk about HUGE wow factor!

Next we draped the entire room in white fabric - another huge transformation! Uplights were added around the room, along with designs on the ceiling, and bistro lights bringing focus to the crepes bar. For the crepes bar we built a custom sign to make it a focal point of the reception.  Opposite the crepes bar we created a custom monogram with the bride and groom's names, a true centerpiece to the dance floor.

This transformation being a surprise for Hardy and Liz was the best part! The surprise, awe, excitement, and gratitude from Liz was overwhelming. Moments like that make our jobs so incredibly fulfilling.

As the guests arrived for the reception, each took a photo in the photo booth and shared well wishes for the bride and groom in their photo booth guestbook. The photo booth was set up in the foyer and so as guests exited into the reception, there was much admiration and surprise for the beauty that lay before their eyes. Throughout the evening, Hardy & Liz spent moments enjoying their friends & family, making memories on the dance floor, and celebrating their love. A most wonderful day for all involved!
