2016. Wow!  What an amazing year.  It is hard to recap what our favorite moments were from this year, because there were so many!  Here is a small sampling of the amazing events we were part of this year. A huge thank you to the incredibly talented vendors, dedicated staff, and wonderful clients we worked with this year. You are the reason we love this life so much!

Winter Wonderland

We love looking back at this amazing wedding in February. Melissa and Truett were living in Hawaii throughout their wedding planning and with the help of the team at Bliss Events, created an incredible wedding day.

Melissa had her heart set upon an outdoor wedding surrounded in the winter beauty of Tamarack Resort in McCall, Idaho. The clear tent and cleared patio was the perfect way to make her dream a reality.

We provided DJ services, bistro lighting and chandeliers and our white washed pine dance floor. The wedding was complete with a wonderful meal, beautiful design details, Hawaiian dancers, and a night of celebration and fun.

Western Aircraft Celebration

When we got a call to design some lighting for Western Aircraft in one of their airplane hangars, we were excited! This turned into an exciting project and was a sight to behold!  

We created an ambient, lit seated area for the guests with stage and backdrop for awards, oversized screen for presentations, custom branding for the company, and focal points for one Pilatus PC-12.

Dance Party Of.The.Year.

When Andrew & Cara called from Los Angeles and shared their vision of a dance party reminiscient of an LA night club, we knew we could deliver that and more. Cara's event experience and design expertise coupled with Andrew's eclectic brand of music was the perfect fit for this amazing wedding day held at The Knob Hill Inn in Sun Valley, Idaho. 

We filled in the details with our white washed pine dance floor for dinner dancing and white dance floor for the afterparty, club style lighting, custom monogram of the couple's wedding brand, and music for the celebration. 

With their closest friends and family, Cara and Andrew celebrated well into the night, making memories to last a lifetime.

Kara & Jan-Michael's French-Japanese Inspired Wedding in Downtown Boise

​Led by the creative inspiration of the mother of the Bride and Heidi at Ira & Lucy, this wedding was truly picturesque. We were so excited to provide our seamless vinyl dance floor, completely customized for Kara & Jan-Michael. We also added to the details with lighting and celebrated memories with our photo booth!

Capturing Beauty

One of the things we do each year is participate in styled shoots with various event vendors. We are in LOVE with how the images turned out from this shoot at Still Water Hollow in Nampa, Idaho.  Blush Creek Vintage Rentals styled a beautiful design that fit the rustic, fall theme.  We provided the vintage style lighting (aka Edison Bulbs) and uplighting.  

It is always a pleasure to work with amazing vendors who do great things in our industry!

Celebrating Love ♥

We love this photo from Nate Perkes taken at Tamarack Resort in McCall, Idaho.

This image is more than a first dance, more than a dance floor, more than a wedding.  It represents to us a year of LOVE.  Love celebrated at each and every wedding in 2016.  Love celebrated by couples, families, and friends who cherish each other and memories made.  This picture truly represents how much we love what we do at Sound Wave Events.

Because Life Matters

Zach & Melissa celebrated their wedding day at Shore Lodge in McCall, Idaho. Their summer wedding was amazing and they LOVED every minute of their day. DJs, Corden & Calvin, knew how to get this crowd dancing and they danced all night - with a few short breaks to enjoy the photo booth we provided.  

Our favorite part of the evening was when Melissa jumped behind the mixer and showed her guests some sick beats.  These moments always make us smile! 

Because We Have Fun & So Should YOU!

This year we added Photo Booth to our suite of services and it has definitely upped the fun level around here (we didn't think it was possible to have MORE fun, but what do you know?!).  

Looking back at the year, we always enjoy catching some fun photo booth moments - especially when the fun carries over to the dance floor. The unicorn seems to find his way to the dance floor often....but we can't blame him!

Transformation of a Lifetime

Last but definitely not least, we love looking back at this incredible basketball court turned wedding venue from our Jerome, Idaho wedding in April. All a surprise to the bride, there was no shortage of ooh's and ahh's at this wedding!
