Let's talk parents. Some of you may have the most amazing parents. They consider your feelings, style, and plans for your perfect wedding. Others may have the "must-be-involved-in-everything" kind of parent. They may try to make your big day go their way, or look the way they have always envisioned for you. If you are less Puffy Princess Dress, and more Modern Sleek Bride, check out these ways to keep your parents involved, but still keep your style at the forefront. Give Mom (or Dad) A Job - Let them plan something! Just say "This is your job. Go nuts!" Be prepared that it's not going to be exactly how you would plan it, but sometimes that is a good thing. They have known you your entire life, after all. They might even know what you like better than you do (I know, I know. You all just cringed a bit). But seriously. It will help to make them feel involved and important. You might be able to squeeze in a few simple guidelines, but give them something that isn't going to make or break your big day if it isn't exactly what you want. Some great "mom jobs" are invitations, dinner or appetizers, and floral arrangements (think centerpieces or aisle decorations). For an example of when parents made a bride's big day perfect, without her even knowing, check out this blog post from a few weeks ago.
